The countdown has begun for another national event for the people of Bhutan. Beginning today the 16th Sept 2011, exactly 27 days are left for Bhutan to witness grand celebration of the Royal Wedding of His Majesty the King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and Queen Jetsun Pema on 13th Oct, 2011.
This day will usher in yet another significant landmark in the history of Bhutan which shall be most sacred to the Country and its people, not only for the present generation who will witness live ceremony but also for many future generations to come who will remember, rejoice and commemorate the great Royal Wedding event as national holiday.
This day will be another special moment for Bhutan to showcase its rich culture and traditions to the rest of the world through royal wedding ceremony.
This day will also be a rare and precious opportunity for all the people of Bhutan to pay their solemn tributes to the Royal Couple.
On the occasion of the upcoming Royal Wedding and to commemorate the sacred national event let me, through this Royal Couple portrait, join with all the people of Bhutan in paying our tribute to Their Majesties.
And through this Royal Portrait oil painting which will speak more than what all the people of Bhutan would like to express, let us wish the Royal Couple a very long life. May Royal Wedding usher in ever lasting peace, prosperity and happiness to Tsa-Wa-Sum.
May His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and Her Majesty Jetsun Pema continue to shine the people of Bhutan and remain as People’s King and People’s Queen till eternity.
May Kencho Sum bless the Royal Couple and people of Bhutan.
